Update

As of mid Jan 12 2012 (1 year 1 momth), we have 54 nests and marking. I harvested two nests on December 11.
Unfortunately, from Jan to April, it's a North East monsoon season period. It will be very windy, and thus there are very few birds playing around. So the rate of increase will be stagnant again until May, sigh!
It was our stupidity to open our Bird House on December 2010, which first 4 months were monsoon season and no birds around! Then we kept correcting our BH by mistakenly thought that it was the false of our design. So in May although birds came, they just could not withstand our continuously renovation. Only in Aug that we realized all the factors and stop renovate, then birds started to increase.

Since October 2011, the bird nest price was dropping significantly from 40,000.00 Baht a kilo to less than 20,000 Baht a kilo for grade A full cup. This was because China has banned all the import of bird nest due to Malaysia's fake bird nests and high nitrite level problem. Rumor has it that China will reconsider the 0 nitrite level to 30 ppm level in April 2012. Now there is no sign of price recovery.
